Scott and Lindsey Jackson, two of my dearest friends, who had one heck of a wedding.
Scott asked me to be a groomsman a few months ago, obviously I said yes. But about a week before the wedding, Lindsey found out that the photography company she hired went bankrupt. Bummer.
Fortunately, a fellow groomsman and my friend Cameron is also a photographer, so clearly we jumped at the opportunity to help Scott and Lindsey in anyway possible. Now we had the challenge of being groomsmen and photographers. It was awesome.
During the ceremony, my fiancé took pictures and she did a great job. After that, Cameron took the portraits while I captured the fun happening behind the scenes.
After some incredible toasts by family members and friends, we danced the day away and gave Scott and Lindsey the All-American sendoff they deserved.
For this being the first wedding I've ever shot, and my rig currently being what it is, I couldn't be happier with these images. It's made me more confident as a photographer and gave me the experience and breadth I need as I debate if I should go full-time freelance or not.
In the end, everything worked out. I expanded my portfolio and Scott and Lindsey got their wedding photos; but most of all, Scott and Lindsey got married.
